Present Perfect and Simple Past

We use the present perfect to talk about something that happened at an indefinite time in the past. We also use the present perfect to talk about repeated actions in the past.

Sharon's read that book 
You have seen that movie many times.
She's eaten at that restaurant several times.

We use the simple past to talk about an activity that happened at a spesific time in the past.

Sharon read that book when she was a child.
We went to indonesia last year.
She ate at that restaurant two years ago.
